Toon Eyes Prep Blender Add-on
** Update 25June2024 - Full Version 0.0.3 adds the ability to have different source eyes for left and right eyes.
This addon accelerates the process for rigging procedural eyes in Auto-Rig Pro (ARP). Rigs geometry node eyelids as well. The add-on is included free with my Toon Eyes Collection available here: Toon Eyes Collection on Gumroad
Most rigs assume the eye is rotated by rotating the mesh. However, with stylized toon procedural eyes we are changing the material coordinates, so we need to make some tweaks to create proper drivers when using a normal rig.
This addon essentially automates the process covered in my 4-part tutorials. It positions a toon eye onto a character that has temporary eyes in place. It is designed to work with toon eyes version 1 from my DadsCastle Toon Eye collection, both with geometry node and procedural eyelids. I have not yet added features for the version 2 eyes.
It creates all the needed drivers and parenting. If using geometry node eyelids, it configures the rig bone selections to exclude the existing eyelid bones.
